What Are The Mp3 Players Of The Future Going To Be Like?

Due to the fast pace of technology then our gadgets are getting smaller but more powerful every single year. Take the iPod for instance, that has shrunk and shrunk over the years until now it is tiny compared to the first generation model, yet it can hold many times more data and has a whole host of new features like games and video playback that the original one did not.

In the future though I think all of our gadgets are going to start to get integrated so we don't need to carry round so much. Like mobile phones right now can actually do a lot of what the iPod offers, as well as being able to do things they can't like let you surf the internet, so why do we need a separate device to listen to music now? These gadgets can't keep getting smaller indefinitely though, I mean what good is a tiny phone? The screen would be too small to be useful (especially when browsing the web) and all the buttons would be too small to use properly, so manufacturers have to concentrate now on making them lighter, more durable and then continuing to pack new features in.

Another area that we will see improvements in is how much you can customize your phone. People want their phone to stand out from the crowd, but at the moment the only way to do that is to buy a different case, hopefully soon we will be able to customize the exterior of the phone without buying anything else. Certainly with the new AMOLED technology then they could coat all of the exterior of the phone in a paper thin screen which can then display all sorts of designs you download off the internet, allowing us all to customize our phones even more. That allows you to accessorize your phone with your outfit much better, or make sure that your phone matches your pink headphones.

Will your smart phone find a way to replace your main computer though? I really don't see phones becoming the main computers we use, for a start then while they are getting more and more powerful then they will always lag behind the power of a real desktop computer, just like laptops do. Also they just aren't as comfortable to use, they are ok when you are on the train or walking around, but when you get home you don't want to use it. However I do think that tablets could start to replace a lot of the traditional computers, they offer a powerful and easy to use computer without all the fuss and clutter that comes with a normal machine. The only major drawback right now is that to use the Ipad you actually need a computer to sync it with to get the most out of it, but hopefully in the future that won't be the case and they will be usable just by themselves.

There are definitely a lot of exciting developments about the corner, one of the most anticipated things for mobile phones is the release of the new 4G networks. Suddenly you'll be getting internet as fast on your phone as your broadband at home which will make video so much more accessible on your phone, then you can stream movies while you are waiting at the airport so you'll never be bored waiting around again!
